Delhi Public School is a non-profit educational institution under the aegis of Numaligarh Refinery Limited(NRL), NR Complex, Numaligarh and managed by Delhi Public School Society, Delhi. Nestling in the sylvan environs of the Brahmaputra valley where the beautiful rendezvous of water and land throws up myriad colours, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), which was set up at Numaligarh in the district of Golaghat (Assam) in accordance with the provisions made in the historic Assam Accord signed on 15th August 1985, has been conceived as a vehicle for speedy industrial and economic development of the region.
Delhi Public School, Numaligarh was established in the year 1997. The prestigious Delhi Public School, Numaligarh, is situated inside the township premises have already made a mark as an educational institute to reckon with. Affiliated to the CBSE, the School imparts quality education for students from Nursery to Class XII. Apart from academics, the school pays special attention to identify and nurture latent talents amongst its students and steer them in the right direction. Students have the option to choose from a wide range of extra co-curricular activities that the school has to offer like Educational tours, trekking, computer courses, horse riding, sarod and sitar classes, clay modeling, historical society, nature club and NCC form a major part of the curriculum. A well-furnished hostel complex with academic ambience has been established to cater to around two hundred boarders.
An endeavour with the modest strength of 55 students, it has grown from strength to strength to a full- fledged, co-educational institution consisting of classes from Nursery to XII. Today DPS boasts of 1450 students on its roll with a strong team of 70 staff members and dynamic Principal Mr. Umesh Harbola.
